2 Day: Bagrat Temple-Prometheus cave-Martvili canyon

Bagrat temple-the greatest monument of culture and architecture of Georgia, was built in the 10-11 centuries during the time of Bagrat III, the Georgian ruler (975-1014), the progenitor of the Bagration princes. In 1994, the Bagrat temple revival Fund was established in Kutaisi. Today, the temple is included in the list of world-famous historical and cultural monuments of UNESCO.
Martville canyon is a beautiful and unusual creation of nature, located in the West of Georgia. It is pierced by the Abasha river in limestone rock and consists of 2 parts: the upper-we go boating, the lower-we watch waterfalls. In In 2016, a large-scale restoration was carried out here, after which it became possible to visit it. According to official data, traces of habitation were found here primitive man and prehistoric animals that lived on earth 73 million years ago, as well as preserved traces of dinosaurs and their fossils skeletons.
Prometheus cave is located near the town of Tskaltubo and about 20 km from Kutaisi, in the Imereti region of Western Georgia. 3 Day: Borjomi-Rabat-Vardzia-Bavra

Borjomi-the famous mineral water “Borjomi” has been a business card and one of the main symbols of Georgia in the international arena for many decades. Healing natural springs are located in a unique natural area – the national Park of the same name in the South-Eastern part of the country, which covers an area of about 80 thousand hectares
Vardzia is located 18 km from Akhalkalaki, in close proximity to the border with Turkey. The city was created in the XII-XIII centuries during the reign of George III and his daughter Queen Tamara to protect the southern borders of Georgia. Vardzia is not just a randomly dug cave in a steep rock. This is a real multi-storey (!) complex with streets, tunnels and stairs leading past monasteries, temples, fortresses, baths, libraries, residential buildings, etc. In total, more than 600 rooms connected by passages that stretched along the mountain in length for 800 meters, in the depth of the mountain up to 50 meters and in height for eight floors.
Rabat is an old stone fortress that was built in the XIII century. The fortress was repeatedly destroyed, often under siege, and eventually absorbed traces of various cultures and religions. In 2012, a large-scale reconstruction took place here, after which the Rabat fortress in Akhaltsikhe appeared as a city within a city. At the same time, it has become not only a historical monument, but also a real cultural center of the city.

Modern Gyumri, despite the fact that it is still healing the wounds caused by the natural disaster in 1988, is considered a very colorful and beautiful city.This city has always been considered the center of Armenian humor (similar to Gabrovo in Bulgaria). The city even has monuments to the wits and jokers who lived here.
The monastic complex of Saghmosavank. It belongs to the Armenian Apostolic Church. The complex was built in the XIII century by order of Prince Vache Vachutyan on the top of a steep gorge cut by the Kasakh river. Sagmosavank, also known as the monastery of Psalms, has long been famous as a repository of books and manuscripts. Paintings on the walls and columns have been preserved. The hole in the dome is a window that illuminates the temple from the inside
The alley of letters is a monument to the Armenian alphabet, which celebrated its 1600th anniversary in 2005. The unusual monument is located 50 km from Yerevan, near the North-Eastern slope of mount Aragats. The alley consists of 39 capital letters of the Armenian alphabet carved out of tuff.

5 Day: Yerevan city-tour

Yerevan is not only one of the oldest cities in the world — it is a modern, young and very beautiful city. Our tour starts from the Republic square-the heart of the city, then the station square, where there is a monument to the hero of the Armenian epic David Sasunsky, which has become the hallmark of Yerevan. We will visit the Cathedral of Gregory the Illuminator, built in 2001 to mark the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity by Armenia. After that, we will drive along the Ring Boulevard, see the Cascade art center, see Mashtots Avenue named after the Creator of the Armenian alphabet, and see the Opera and ballet Theater building the city’s first architect, Alexander Tamanyan, was a genius. 6 Day: Garni-Geghard-Shopping(Vernisage-Gum market)

The temple of Garni is the only standing Greek-Roman building with a colonnade in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. Built in the ionic order in the village of Garni, Armenia, it is the most famous structure and symbol of pre-Christian Armenia. This structure was probably built by king Tiridates I in the first century ad, as a temple to the sun God Mihr.
Geghard is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, partially carved out of a nearby mountain and surrounded by rocks. It is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
“Vernissage” — a favorite place of tourists and guests of the capital. Artists, craftsmen, jewelers, seamstresses and potters bring their amazing works here, and every Saturday and Sunday from 10: 00 am, you can buy any Souvenirs and works of art you like. If you want to buy something to remember Armenia by, feel free to send it to the “Vernissage”, as you are unlikely to leave here empty-handed. They sell paintings, jewelry, wood products, magnets, musical instruments, national Souvenirs, carpets, national costumes, semi-precious stones, rarities, and much more.

“GUM” is a colorful market filled with aromas, smiles, strange delicious goods and real excitement of trade.  It has its own charm, which is difficult to describe in words, it needs to be tasted. It has its own chip, walking through the market, sellers and try to treat and pita bread, and wine, and cheese, and fruit. Apricots, peaches, grapes, apples, cherries, plums, watermelons, melons, pomegranates — you will be surprised by the variety of local fruits and affordability. No Armenian feast is complete without basturma and sujukh. They will be a great addition to a fine red wine. There is a wide selection of meat products that can be purchased directly from the manufacturer. At the same place you can find fresh herbs, a huge selection of Armenian cheeses, spices and lavash, which will make real Armenian brtech. 7 Day: Sevan(Sevanavank)-Dilijan(Haghartsin)-Tbilisi

The ancient relic lake Sevan – “Pearl of Armenia” or “Gegham sea” – is one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in the world. This natural wonder is located in the very center of the Armenian highlands, in a huge mountain bowl framed by picturesque mountain ranges at an altitude of 1,900 m. The area of its water mirror is 940 square meters. km, maximum depth – 95 m.
On the North-Western part of the lake, on a narrow rocky Peninsula, there is a prominent monument of Armenian early medieval architecture – the Sevanavank monastery. In those early days, the Peninsula was a lonely island. It was separated from the shore by about 3 km of clear water, in which there were many fish, which was the trade of the monastic monastery. The monks settled here at the end of the VIII century, built a chapel and several cells.
Dilijan is a large city in Armenia, which has the status of a mountain climate and balneological resort. The city was founded in the V century BC by the indigenous meshkin tribes, who are believed to have originally emigrated from Anatolia (Turkey). Legend has it that the city was named after the legendary ruler Mtsekhotos, the son of the first king of Kartli.
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is a famous monument of Christian culture in Georgia. It was built on the site of the destroyed Church of the Twelve Apostles (IV century).A religious tradition connected with the adoption of Christianity by Georgia is connected with the emergence of this Church. The legend tells about a resident of Mtskheta, Elioz, who, while in Jerusalem, obtained the Chiton of Jesus Christ.
On a hill overlooking Mtskheta, there is a revered monastery temple of Jvari, whose name translates as”cross”. According to legend, Jvari is the place where Saint Nino erected the Holy cross to symbolize Georgia’s adoption of Christianity in the fourth century ad

9 Day: Signaghi-Bodbe-Tsinandali

Sighnaghi is a small cozy town in Eastern Georgia, located on a mountain slope in the historical region of Kakheti. The city was founded in the XVII century under king Heraclius II and, according to local residents, it is the only city in Georgia that has completely preserved the fortress walls. The fortress wall is lined with watchtowers, which you can climb to view the magnificent views of the Alazani valley.
The monastery and Episcopal complex of Saint George, located in Bodbe, Kakheti, is a national Georgian Shrine. Here in the Cathedral of St. George lie the remains of equal-to-the-apostles Nino of Cappadocia – the great Baptist of Georgia-the harbinger of the Christian era.
Alexander Chavchavadze, the founder of Georgian romanticism, inherited the Tsinandali estate from his father, which he turned into the cultural and intellectual center of Georgia. This status of the estate has not lost in the XXI century.
