Yerevan-the oldest city, which is 29 years older than Rome, but at the same time it is eternally young. We will start our acquaintance with it from the main square of the Republic – the Central square of the city, designed by the architect A. Tamanyan in 1926. The square is famous for its monumental architecture in a deeply national style and singing fountains. Then we will walk along the Northern Avenue –the main pedestrian street of Yerevan, because it is absolutely impossible to miss it! After that, we will see the Opera and ballet Theater-the largest theater in Yerevan. The best traditions of medieval Armenian architecture were used in the construction of this “temple” of culture. We will finish our tour with a visit to the Cascade complex.
The Cascade is a kind of decoration of the city in the form of an original architectural composition. Resembling a huge multi-tiered Babylonian pyramid, the Grand Cascade is a system of huge staircases that beautifully connect the city center lying in a low-lying area and a residential area located high in the mountains.
