2 Day: Tbilisi city-tour
Breakfast
Exit to a sightseeing tour of Tbilisi, during which we will get acquainted with both the history and architecture of the old part of Tbilisi. The Georgian capital is a hospitable city full of joy. Everyone who comes to the streets of Tbilisi will certainly feel the spirit of ancient history. During our walk, we will visit the bridge of Peace, walk along the street of Chardin, visit the area of natural sulfur baths-Abanotubani. We will also take the cable car up to the defensive fortress of Narikala, which locals call the heart and soul of Tbilisi. The exact date of its construction is unknown, but there is evidence that it already existed in the IV century, which means that it was built even before the city itself was formed. For all the time of its existence, no one managed to take the fortress by storm.

3 Day: Gelati-Motsameta-Bagrat temple

Gelati monastery is a masterpiece of the Golden age of medieval Georgia, characterized by facades of smoothly hewn large blocks, balanced proportions and blind arches for exterior decoration. Gelat monastery, one of the largest medieval Orthodox monasteries, was also a center of science and education, and the Academy where it was located was one of the most important cultural centers of ancient Georgia.
Motsameta monastery is located 6 kilometers from Kutaisi. The modern Church dates back to the 11th century, but historical records show that the Church was built on this site as early as the 8th century. Motsameta attracts crowds of tourists with an ancient superstition: if you crawl under the ark three times and make a wish by touching the shrines, the wish will come true.
Bagrat temple-the greatest monument of culture and architecture of Georgia, was built in the 10-11 centuries during the time of Bagrat III, the Georgian ruler (975-1014), the progenitor of the Bagration princes. In 1994, the Bagrat temple revival Fund was established in Kutaisi . Today, the temple is included in the list of world-famous historical and cultural monuments of UNESCO.
Dadiani Palace-located in the small town of Zugdidi, which once served as the brilliant capital of the Megrelian Principality. It attracts thousands of curious visitors with its monumental castle architecture and rich Museum collection. For many years, it was the main residence of the Megrelian rulers, and today it is an integral point to visit when traveling to Georgia
Ingurskaya HPP is the largest hydroelectric power station in the Caucasus on the Inguri river. Construction work here began in 1961 and was completed in 1977. The Foundation for the construction of the Inguri HPP was laid by Georgian public figure Niko Nikoladze. One of the components of the hydroelectric power station is the dam, which has a total height of 271.5 meters and a length of 728 meters. The Svaneti Museum is a reconstructed, well-designed Museum that contains items of archeology, icons, and some Ethnography. It gives an idea of the level of life and thinking of the Svans in the X-XIII centuries. The Museum was founded in 1936 and has accumulated 4,000 exhibits over the years of its existence.
The house-Museum of Mikhail Khergiani-Georgian mountaineer, international master of sports of the USSR, nicknamed the tiger of rocks is located in Mestia, Svaneti. In 1985, a memorial house-Museum was organized in the native house of hergiani.
The first floor of the Museum displays personal belongings of the famous mountaineer, international master of sports Mikhail hergiani (1932-1969): clothing, climbing equipment, photos, awards, gifts – including a recording of a song by Vladimir Vysotsky, which he dedicated to Hergian, etc.
The Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour is an ancient Church that is on the list of attractions in Svaneti. It only opens during the service, but you can ask local residents to open it for you. Here you can find frescoes that have survived to our times, as well as an ancient relic — a minted icon of the Savior of the XIII century, made of an alloy of gold and silver. Thus, when visiting Svaneti, in addition to its natural beauty, you will find quite a lot of unique sights that everyone should see.
Hatsvali ski resort is located 6 kilometers from the village of Mestia in Svaneti. The Georgian authorities call this region one of the most promising in terms of tourism. Many people like Hatsvali just for its small size – even in the high season there are no queues or jostling on the tracks. There are four equipped slopes: the longest route is blue — 2600 meters, red for experienced skiers – 1800 meters, a 700-meter section for beginners and a separate track for athletes at 800 meters. The slopes are served by a number of lifts.

The Church of St. Kvirike and Ivlita or srednevekovaja Church is one of the oldest churches of Svaneti. The temple was built on a high mountain in the X-XI centuries and is an important monument of Georgian monumental architecture. The mountain on which the Church is built is considered sacred. It is carefully guarded, according to how much it is recognized as its own. The mountain is covered with a dense coniferous forest, along which runs the only road-the path to the monastery.
Ushguli is one of the highest mountain communities in Europe, located at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level, in the East of the Svaneti mountain region. It is located 33 kilometers to the East of Mestia, and is considered a fairly inaccessible place due to its location and winding bumpy roads that run through canyons and sharp rocks. If you get from Tbilisi, the journey will take 8-10 hours, it is about 400 km. The community includes four ancient settlements: Zhibiani, Chvibiani, Chazhashi and Murkmeli. They are located in the upper reaches of the river
Inguri, at the southern foot of the mountain-giant Shkhara (5193 m), the highest point of the Caucasus range. Many architectural monuments date back to the IX-X centuries. The villages are surrounded on all sides by glaciers and grey peaks that go up into the sky. All this creates a unique splendor, as if drawn by the hand of a sophisticated landscape master. The Church in Ushguli Lamaria, or the Church of the assumption of the blessed virgin. The Church is located on the outskirts of Ushguli, at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level, near the village of Zhibiani. The date of construction of the Church is supposed to be the XI century. It is built in the style of a Basilica. Usually Lamaria Church is depicted on postcards, with a view of the highest peak in Georgia-Shkhara.

6 Day: Martvili Canyon-Tbilisi

Martville canyon is a beautiful and unusual creation of nature, located in the West of Georgia. It is pierced by the Abasha river in limestone rock and consists of 2 parts: the upper-we go boating, the lower-we watch waterfalls. In 2016, a large-scale restoration was carried out here, after which it became possible to visit it. According to official data, there are traces of habitation of primitive man and prehistoric animals that lived on earth 73 million years ago, as well as preserved traces of dinosaurs and their fossilized skeletons.
