Tbilisi is one of the safest cities in Europe and is often among the most popular developing destinations due to Georgia’s growing tourism industry. It was home to people of various cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds, although the vast majority are Eastern Orthodox Christians
Mtskheta was the ancient capital of Kartli, as well as the place where Christianity was declared the official religion of Georgia in 337. The Svetitskhoveli Cathedral complex in the center of the city includes the Cathedral Church, the Palace and the gate of the Catholicos Melchizedek, which date back to the 11th century, built on the site of earlier churches Dating back to the 5th century.
The Georgian Orthodox monastery of Jvari of the VI century was built on a hill opposite Mtskheta, at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. The Church is included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.

3 Day: Ananuri-Gudauri-Gergeti
Breakfast
Ananuri fortress is a medieval defensive fortress on the Georgian Military road, located 64 km from Tbilisi. It was built on the picturesque Bank of the Zhinvali reservoir, at the place where the Aragvi river flows into it. The fortress appeared in the XVI century and for the next two centuries served as the Northern Outpost of the defense of Transcaucasia, blocking the road leading from the Daryalsky gorge.
Trinity Church in Gergeti-located at an altitude of 2,170 m at the foot of Kazbek along the Georgian Military road. This temple was built in the XIV century, but almost nothing is known about its history. However, in one of the guides of 1906, it is written that the Church was built on the site of the worship of pagan idols. In the XVIII century, the Gergeti Church became the repository of the main Georgian relics that were transported here during the Persian invasion of Tbilisi

4 Day: Rabat-Khertvisi-Vardzia
Breakfast
The fortress-Rabat-is located in the city of Akhaltsikhe. Rabati castle was built in the XIII century and has survived many invasions and destruction. Now the castle is a popular attraction in Akhaltsikhe. In 2012, it was reconstructed and strengthened. Rabati castle has a strong fortress wall, four towers with spiral staircases, an observation deck and buildings.
Khertvisi fortress-a medieval castle located in the village of Khertvisi, at the mouth of the Paravani and Mtkvari rivers, on a high rocky mountain (now the municipal territory of Aspindza) in Javakheti, in southern Georgia. Khertvisi was an active fortress in feudal times.Since October 24, 2007, Khertvisi, along with the Vardzia monastery, has been included in the UNESCO world heritage list.
Vardzia is a cave city-cave monastery in the South of Georgia. The main period of construction was the second half of the XII century. The underground halls of the” mountain Queen”, dug out of solid rock, look as if they were taken directly from the pages of”the Lord of the rings”. In fact, this is a cave-Palace-monastery, built not by dwarfs, but by Georgians in the Caucasus for their legendary Queen Tamar.
Night in Borjomi
5 Day: Borjomi-Katskhi-Bagrat temple
Breakfast
Borjomi national Park is the first national Park in the Caucasus. It was opened in 1995. Now it covers an area of 85,000 hectares and is considered one of the largest in Europe. The Park is cultivated according to all European concepts: paths are laid, places are made for campsites, picnics, places for bonfires, lodges for the night, and so on. Rangers on horseback are regularly on duty in the Park, just in case.
The katskhi pillar is one of the symbols of Imereti, the Western part of Georgia. This is a huge limestone block on which stands an amazing little Church. “Katskhi” in Svan means “top”. Long before the advent of Christianity in Georgia, this place was revered as a temple of one of the main gods — fertility. It was believed that this is where the sky meets the earth.
The temple of Bagrati is the symbol of Kutaisi. A huge and powerful temple stands on a hill and can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. It was built during the reign of Bagrat III. Its construction began at the end of the X century, and was completed in 1003. The temple played an important role in the history of medieval temple architecture in Georgia. It was here that David IV the Builder was crowned in 1089.

6 Day: Prometheus cave-Martvili canyon-Okace canyon
Breakfast
Martvilsky canyon is located 45 kilometers from Kutaisi. The canyon is formed by the waters of the Abasha river. Its length is 2.4 km, and the height of the canyon walls reaches 40 m in some places. This natural attraction attracts many tourists who want to feel the contrast between the calm river and dynamic waterfalls. At first, the Martville canyon is a very quiet, deep gorge with high humidity, where the rocks are covered with moss, and the flow of the river is so slow that it seems as if time has stopped. In the middle of the canyon, a large 12-meter waterfall suddenly appears, from which tons of water fall every second.
Prometheus cave is located close to the Georgian town of Tskhaltubo. The cave was discovered in 1984 and almost immediately developed as a show cave. Kumistavi is the largest cave in Georgia. Although only one-tenth is open to tourists, it takes about an hour to study it.
Okatse canyon is one of the most interesting sights of Imereti. it is located 50 km North-West of Kutaisi and 30 km North of Tskaltubo. The peculiarity of the canyon is that human intervention did not spoil the natural attractiveness of the place, but improved it – a 780-meter cantilever bridge runs along one of the walls of the canyon at an altitude of 140 meters.

7 Day: Gelati-Motsameta-Uplistsikhe
Breakfast
Gelati monastery is a masterpiece of the Golden age of medieval Georgia, characterized by facades of smoothly hewn large blocks, balanced proportions and blind arches for exterior decoration. Gelat monastery, one of the largest medieval Orthodox monasteries, was also a center of science and education, and the Academy where it was located was one of the most important cultural centers of ancient Georgia.
Motsameta monastery is located 6 kilometers from Kutaisi. The modern Church dates back to the 11th century, but historical records show that the Church was built on this site as early as the 8th century. Motsameta attracts crowds of tourists with an ancient superstition: if you crawl under the ark three times and make a wish, touching the shrines, then the wish will come true.
Uplistsikhe is an ancient cave city, one of the first cities on the territory of Georgia. Uplistsikhe is carved into a rock located 12 km East of Gori on the left Bank of the Kura river. The city appeared in the late II-early I Millennium BC, went through several UPS and downs, was finally abandoned in the XIX century and is thus a multi-layered archaeological site, one of the most important monuments of Georgian culture.
