3 Day: Tusheti-Omalo-Keselo fortress
Breakfast
Departure to Tusheti. A gravel road built in the mid-70s connects the Kakheti-Tusheti regions. It passes through the high-altitude Abano pass (2996 above sea level)
Omalo. There are several masterpieces of unknown urban architects: towers, fortress houses with roofs atypical for the region, and medieval fortifications. All this is against the backdrop of a majestic panorama of mountains, clouds over which eagles soar, the colors of the Caucasus meadows and high-altitude forests. This is the economic center of Tusheti, where the region’s only airport, school and hospital are located. The village is divided into New and Old Omalo. The old Omalo is the present Keselo. Keselo fortress dates back to the middle ages, is located on a hill and is visible from the New Omalo.
Visit to Keselo is a small medieval fortress, located slightly above the village of Omalo.Keselo towers, which number up to 13, were built during the Mongol invasions of Georgia (1230).

4 Day: Dartlo village-Kvavlo village-Dano-Parema-Girevi
Breakfast
Visit to Pirikiti (Inner ridge) Tusheti. The road runs along the pine forest up to the meadows, which is a crossing point of trails to Dartlo, Omalo and Gometsari. This is the very place where in the distant past, Carcasses were collected and met to solve public problems. There are more than 50 devastated and abandoned villages in Tusheti. The main attractions of the villages are the towers and fortresses that once protected local residents from attacks by neighboring detractors. Unfortunately, most of the towers were destroyed. Tush villages are located along the Eastern Bank of the Alazani river.
Visiting villages: Kvavlo, Dano, Parsma and Girevi (very often Parsma and Girevi are inaccessible due to road conditions).
The most delightful and amazing place is the village of Dartlo, which has preserved its ancient appearance to this day. Dartlo — one of the oldest villages in the region, a monument of cultural heritage of Georgia, declared an architectural reserve, stands out for its unique architectural ensemble consisting of stone houses covered with stone tiles, which are fortresses with watchtowers attached to them. You can visit the ruins of a Church that only the male population had access to.

These villages are: Dacha, Begala, Jvarboseli, Iliurta and others (sometimes Jvarboseli and Iliurta are inaccessible due to road conditions). Many of the villages are just ruins.
The architectural gem of gometsar society is undoubtedly the village of Dochu, which is spread out among the rocks like a huge eagle’s nest. For many centuries this was a centre Gometsari and year-round people lived. Dochu – the most preserved of all, today it is an architectural monument of Tusheti.
